Australian Baccalaureate Programs


In Australia, each state has its own baccalaureate program, such as SACE, VCE, HSC, but all strictly follow the requirements of the national curriculum framework.

In particular, programs must be based on a training framework developed by the National Training Program Accreditation, Evaluation and Reporting Organization (ACARA) established by the Australian Government. In particular, the first commitment is to promote excellence and fairness, focus on academic quality as well as meet the diverse needs of all students.

Baccalaureate programs are flexible and last for two academic years. Most students will begin their journey with an individual study plan in 10th grade. The components designed in the curriculum framework include general capabilities, sub-disciplines and subjects. learning areas and subjects. Baccalaureate degrees in states like SACE are guaranteed, internationally recognized and can be used by students to apply to universities in many different countries.

The direction of SACE has some similarities with the IBDP International Baccalaureate Program. Faizol Musa, IB Program Development and Accreditation Manager Southeast Asia, said that the three core components of the IBDP include theory - knowledge (TOK), creativity - operations - community service. Council (CAS) and in-depth essay (EE).

Specifically, TOK is a subject about critical thinking and reflecting on the nature of knowledge, giving students the opportunity to think about the nature of knowledge, thereby understanding the relationship between the fields of knowledge. Meanwhile, CAS is a core subject that all students must complete, which is highly respected and recognized by higher education institutions around the world.
